For those of you who stuck around after the race for the awards ceremony, you learned that, once again this year, we tried this year to maximize the number of different people who received a prize. How did we do this? Simple. If you were an overall winner (male, female, male with dog, female with dog, we didn't give you a second (or third) prize if you won in another category, such as your age-group. For instance, in the first year of the race, Sarah Gardner & Foxie were the overall winners in the female category. So they won three prizes: one for overall female, one for overall female with dog, and one for Sarah's age group. Some racers thought it would be nice to try to spread the wealth a bit, and we agreed, so we implemented the new system. Hope that clears things up a bit about the awards ceremony. This page, however, is purely about results, not prizes, so we will list the winners solely based on their times, without tweaking anything. We begin with the winners in various categories. Registered participants whose names are not shown above either did not complete the entire course or did not complete the race in less than 65 minutes. If you believe an error has been made in these results (or if we have your name or your dog's name listed incorrectly), please contact us at info@HumaneRace.org. Note: We are afraid that a couple of people might have omitted their dog's name from their bib tag. If your dog's name is missing from the above list, please let us know. The Berkshire Humane Society has earned Four Stars for four years running from Charity Navigator (the leading on-line charity evaluator). Only 4% of all the charities reviewed by Charity Navigator have managed this feat.
