About the Race

NOTE: The information below was current up to the start of The Humane Race on
May 8, 2010. We will be updating this page in January 2011 as the 9th Annual Running of The Humane Race approaches. Please check back then!

 

  • The 8th Annual Humane Race will be run on Saturday, May 8, 2010.

    • We Did It!

  • Day-of-Race Registration opens at 8:30 AM. Fees are $5.00 higher if you wait until race day to register. Both the 5K and 1 Mile Walk begin at 10:00 AM.

  • The Humane Race is a 5K (3.11 miles) fun run, in Williamstown, MA.

  • We are one of the few events in the U.S. open to runners and their dogs! (You are welcome to run or walk with or without a dog.)

  • You can participate in a 5K Fun Run through Downtown Williamstown or a 1 Mile walk for folks that would prefer to walk with (or without) their dogs.

  • We offer race registration on-line, using a paper form, or in person. BUT…only the first 100 people to pre-register get the T-shirt! So don’t wait for race day to register! Many people DID NOT receive a T-shirt last year because they waited!

  • Early race registration and packet pick-up will be available in front of theBrowns at 16 Water St. in Williamstown from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. on Friday, May 7, 2010.

  • So far, we’ve raised over $70,000 to help support The Berkshire Humane Society.
