The days are getting longer and before you know it, spring will be here! And spring means that it will be time, once again, for the most heart-warming 5K race on the planet, the fabulous Humane Race!
Taking place in downtown Williamstown, MA on Saturday, May 8th, 2010, at 10:00 AM, the 8th Annual Humane Race will be tons of fun for all members of the community, including those with floppy ears and wagging tails! We will have great prizes, refreshments, and music to run by!
For the past seven years, runners of every age and description (including over 420 four-legged runners) have joined in the fun, raising over $70,000 in cash and premium dog food for the Berkshire Humane Society! This is super news as the BHS really needs our support, receiving absolutely no state or federal funding. This wonderful shelter survives only on the generosity of the people of Berkshire County.
Your sponsorship would mean so much to the homeless animals of our area and the thousands of people who benefit from our many programs (see the “About Us” page on the BHS website, www.berkshirehumane.org for a full list of our programs). Supporting the Humane Race is a great way to give back to your community. As our tagline says, “It’s Good For Your Heart!”
